Overview

Baptiste Claustre

PhD Student in Applied mathematics within the Mathematical Modeling and Scientific Computing team at Camille Jordan Institute (ICJ) (INSA Lyon).

Short Bio

Alumnus of École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and recipient of the Agrégation de Mathématiques (2025), my research focuses on boundary integral equations (BIE) and numerical analysis for wave scattering. I co-author several high-school level math practice workbooks, available in the Teaching section.

PhD Thesis Project

Thesis Subject

Boundary Integrals for wave scattering by closely situated thin particles structures

Supervisors : Camille Carvalho and Elie Bretin

My research focuses on thin particle structures (materials, nanoparticles, photonic crystals, metasurfaces) and developing efficient boundary integral equation (BIE) methods to solve the close evaluation problem in wave scattering.
